Web Series Development


Thought about creating a web series and want to know how to go about it? This course will discuss web series creative development including episode outlines, storylines, pilot and pitch development, and other elements such as actors and sound. Production concerns such as funding sources, budgeting, platforms around the world and the key role of social media will also be covered. This workshop gives a general overview for filmmakers new to web series and looking for a starting point for your production.

The Introduction to Independent Filmmaking and Short Film Writing are recommended as prerequisites.

You will receive an email from LIFT with an invitation link 24 hours prior to your class. To join the workshop click on the link and open the application or web browser. After this, the instructor will admit you into the workshop.

Please ensure that you log in using a Zoom account with a profile name that appears as the same name registered for the class. If not, for security reasons, you may not be permitted to join. During the workshop, we advise that you keep your microphone on mute to minimize external noise and that you unmute when participating in class discussions. Please also arrive to the session on time so the instructor can admit you before the lesson begins.
