Equitable Workshop Pricing

As of September 5, 2023, LIFT will be replacing the Bursary Program we piloted in 2022 with a new equitable pricing initiative that will involve one pay-what-you-can (PWYC) spot in every New Take workshop for the Fall 2023 workshop season (Fiction Filmmaking in the Canadian Context, Experimenting with Super8, Performing the Process, Animating Analogue). We hope to expand the PWYC spots to include other workshops in future seasons.

To help reduce financial barriers, this pay-what-you-can (PWYC) discount is available for those who are facing financial hardship as well as those who self-identify as part of an equity-seeking group, which includes (but is not limited to) disabled, Black, Indigenous, Students, and Newcomers.

Please be advised these slots are first come first serve and will remain available until filled or registration for the workshop closes. PWYC registration is limited to one workshop per participant and is not transferable if you are no longer able to attend the workshop.
