Performing the Process: In Person

NOTE: This workshop is in person. It is recommended that participants wear a mask while on the premises.

Registration for this workshop will be prioritized for participants of the Black and African diaspora.

During this process cinema workshop, participants will learn analogue filmmaking techniques including how to shoot 16mm film on a Bolex camera and eco-process it with the goal of creating a collective piece. Throughout the workshop we will touch upon the process of filmmaking as performance for Black artists and carving out new spaces for us to thrive as a community to continue to create works and archives within the realm of analogue filmmaking. 

Previous experience with 16mm not required.
