7th Generation Image Makers
Over the course of one month eight indigenous youth were mentored in photography resulting in a series of self-portraits. Through Gallery 44 and LIFT facilities youth participants were exposed to photography basics, conceptual process and developed software skills in Adobe Photoshop and After Effects. The process provided a space for participants to creatively explore intersections of identity, place, displacement and it’s ruptures within the Canadian post-colonial context.
