Digital Colour Grading with DaVinci Resolve

With digital cinematography, digital colour grading has become an integral part of the post-production pipeline. Software like DaVinci Resolve has leveraged the power of more efficient computer systems with decades of colour timing experience. Explore modern digital colour grading tools, apply fundamental concepts and treatments through hands-on lessons from initial conform, raw colour grading, to HSL keying. Participants will have a brief look at Blackmagic Cinema Camera 2.5K RAW, Blackmagic URSA Mini Pro 4.6K RAW and RED 5K RAW workflows, and learn the full extent of raw information available from each camera to take their visuals to the next level with DaVinci Resolve.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own source material, which may be used in the workshop. The Colour Theory workshop or previous knowledge is required as a prerequisite to this class. This workshop is recommended as a companion to the Cinematography Fundamentals, Lighting Fundamentals and DIT workshops.
