Workshop Registration

35mm Production

This workshop is an opportunity for you to discover the intrinsic beauty and finer grain-structure that 35mm filmmaking provides with its larger negative. Learn the effective operation of the ARRI 35BL's wide range of features and accessories by exploring the intricacies of the camera body, mags, lenses, and follow focus. Participants will have an opportunity to discuss the on-set protocols and practice how to prep, build, and load the 35BL for shooting. In the second half of the workshop, participants will assume roles and shoot a short dramatic scene with a basic block / light / rehearse / shoot mini-production scenario. The exposed film will be processed and transferred for viewing at a later shared date.
