Cinematography Bootcamp for Documentary Filmmakers

This four hour workshop is designed for aspiring and emerging documentary filmmakers to refine their working knowledge of cinematography. Learn practical tricks and simple yet powerful cinematography techniques that are immediately applicable to elevate your camerawork. Participants are strongly encouraged to bring their own camera system, if they have one, or will be able use LIFT's own equipment to learn camera settings, practice camera rigging, shooting good looking B-roll on tripod and handheld, working with subjects and available light, and setting up interviews. The workshop is also an opportunity to discuss with a director of photography about the visual approach and challenges of your documentary project.

The Introduction to Independent Filmmaking and Camera Theory workshops are strongly recommended as prerequisites.
