Producing on a Shoestring Budget

So you want to be a producer? This workshop will explore this
multifaceted job and provide you with the tools to navigate this
complex juggling act. From a producer’s perspective participants will
examine topics such as the idea, financing and budgets, legal issues,
keeping your critical crew happy, as well as publicity. This workshop
will go through the basics of development, production and postproduction of low budget film activities to maximize and capitalize on the project’s cash-flow.

The Introduction to Independent Filmmaking workshop is strongly recommended as a prerequisite. This course is recommended as a companion to the Grant Writing for Arts Councils, Short Film Writing, Advanced Script Studio, Directing Dramatic Film and Dramatic Film Editing workshops.
