LIFT’s Operations and Facilities Protocols – February 2023

Friday, February 3, 2023

Dear Members and Community,

Happy New Year. We hope that 2023 is a productive year as we slowly pull ourselves out of the COVID-19 pandemic’s long tail. We’re excited about all the new members’ projects that have already begun and thank you for continuing to use our services for your work.

LIFT is now fully open to the public again. Our front door will be open on most days during our daytime hours (pending staffing levels). Access for workshops and the technical department continue to be through the side door under the awning on Gladstone Avenue.

As of February 2023, LIFT continues to ask that you follow two simple COVID-19 protocols to continue to keep our staff and each other safe:
1. Postpone your visit to LIFT if you have any symptoms of contagious illness.
2. Continue to wear a mask inside all areas of LIFT (common areas, edit suites, washrooms, etc.)

LIFT supports and represents a broad cross-section of people who have and continue to be affected by COVID-19. We hope to do our part to make our facility as inclusive and accessible as we can to everyone so we ask our community members to continue to wear masks to ensure the health and safety of staff, fellow members, workshop instructors and participants.

Masks that you can bring to wear include cloth, PPE or N95 / KN95 / KF94 masks that cover both your mouth and nose at all times.

Non-renting and renting levels of memberships are available for purchase, both renewals and new applications.

Keep in mind that new Production and Production Student memberships require a reference check, which takes approximately ten (10) business days. This reference check was always part of LIFT’s membership process for many years before the start of COVID-19.

All membership renewals and new applications can be done via the online membership portal at and payment options include PayPal, Credit Card or VISA Debit card. We do not accept cheques for membership, or any other type of LIFT products and services.
