Podcasting for Creatives

The podcasting industry in Canada is booming! According to Made in Canada, advertising revenue from podcasts has gone from 54.3 million in 2020 to 127.1 million in 2023 and a projected 3.5 billion globally in 2025. How can you get in on this booming and lucrative media industry in Canada?
Whether you are a filmmaker, artist, writer, musician, designer or in any other creative field, here is your opportunity to learn how to make engaging, unique content that will capture an audience and diversify your skill set. Discover best practices for identifying your audience, structuring your episodes, investing in equipment, branding, networking, promotion and consistency to engage with your audience. Through practical exercises participants will learn how to craft their own podcast idea and bring it to life through writing, recording, editing and marketing using Adobe Premiere Pro and Audition in LIFT's Digital Classroom.

Podcasting can be a powerful platform for creatives to not only share their stories but to also share educational insights, connect with like-minded creatives and build community. With a bit of planning and dedication, your podcast can become a valuable asset in your creative toolkit.
This workshop is recommended as a companion to LIFT's Production and Post-Production workshops. It is not required to have prior knowledge of the Adobe Suite (Premiere and Audition) however, previous experience is recommended.
