The Day I Quit written by Stefan Riches
Nick’s convinced that the only way he can meet the woman of his dreams is to start smoking. Trouble is, no matter what method he tries to wean himself on, he can’t seem to pick up the habit.  Does this mean his shot at love will go up in smoke?

 

Guest Moderator: Elke Town

Elke Town has developed, financed, written and produced for film and television for over twenty years. She has worked as a broadcast executive and headed the Creative Affairs department of Telefilm Canada. She has been story editor on numerous film projects and worked contractually for major film and television organizations including the National Screen Institute, Astral Media’s Harold Greenberg FUND and the WGC.  Her film and television story edit development credits include Feline, Ray & Al, Tombs, In the Shadow of a Saint, The Last Place, Love Lust and Opportunity and many other feature film projects. Currently, she is also adapting a children’s novel for the screen. Elke has taught advanced screenwriting at Humber College and conducted screenwriting workshops for WIFT and the Reel Asian Film Festival. In 2006 Elke founded Storyworks a company dedicated to writing for the screen and to helping screenwriters build better stories.
