Dear friends, colleagues and supporters,
Happy holidays from the Liaison of Independent Filmmakers of Toronto (LIFT). What a wild year it has been! 2025 has been one of our most productive, with filmmakers making films and LIFT supporting amazing projects, but we feel like there was always a new challenge around the next corner. The staff are have been home for a much needed rest!
Thank you to everyone who contributed to GivingTuesday. Over 50 people reached out and we managed to hit our goal of $5,000 on that day. Our next goal for our “$45 for 45” campaign is $20,000 by the end of the year and we’re a quarter of the way there.
Your donation is much needed in our current economic climate and will help amplify some of the amazing projects we continue to offer: our Newcomer Mentorship, our Guiding the Future Senior Artist Networking project and our on-going commitment to independent filmmakers through affordable equipment, workshops and professional development.
