The Eclair NPR is a sync sound 16mm film camera originally manufactured in the early 60’s. The NPR is considered a major contributor to the French New Wave genre and enabled independent filmmakers to create movies outside the confines of a major studio. The camera features a two lens rotating turret which can accept either C-mount lenses or Arri Bayonet mount lenses.

This Eclair has been modified to shoot an Ultra 16mm frame size by use of a modified gate which exposes onto a wider area between the film perforations resulting in an aspect ratio of approximately 1.85:1.
