This workshop is for the Girl Guides Group in Kirkton, Ontario.

This hands-on, creative workshop will introduce participants to this fun, easy and accessible way of making animation! In this workshop students will learn the basic history of stop motion animation, with artist examples from Norm McLaren, Amy Lockhart, and Leslie Supnet. Then, participants will be familiarized with under-the-camera, 2D stop motion animation techniques, paper cutout puppet creation, as well as storyboarding. This will provide a strong background as groups move onto creating animations of their own, using easy and accessible supplies like paper, magazines, and craft materials.
