THE LIAISON OF INDEPENDENT FILMMAKERS OF TORONTO (LIFT)
ANNOUNCES OPEN SCREENING – AUGUST 2026
Join the Liaison of Independent Filmmakers of Toronto (LIFT) for our August 2026 Open Screening. The event will take place on Thursday, August 20, 2026 in the Main Classroom at the LIFT facility (located at 1137 Dupont)
The event is an opportunity to show new films, audiovisual experiments, found footage and works-in-progress. There is no submission process as films will not be curated. The event is first come, first screened. We will accept up to 90 minutes of work.

Screening starts at 7:00pm
Admission:
Pay-What-You-Can (PWYC) with suggested donation of $5.00
Cash accepted at the door.
Light refreshments will be served.
Requirements for all films:
– The duration of all films must be 10 minutes or less.
– Accepted Formats: Digital Files (H.264/ProRes that must be brought on your own Mac formatted hard drive), Regular 8mm originals/prints, Super 8mm originals/prints or 16mm originals/prints.
– All films must follow LIFT’s Code of Conduct. LIFT does not tolerate homophobia, sexism, racism, transphobia, xenophobia or any type of discrimination.
