A New Role for Robin Riad!
Effective Tuesday October 1, 2024, Robin Riad is changing departments at the Liaison of Independent Filmmakers of Toronto (LIFT). After three years as the Technical Administrator at LIFT, Robin will move into the Special Projects Manager role. In this role, she will be developing new projects that we will announce in the next few months as well as brainstorming and fundraising for new pathways for the organization. Building on the momentum of last year’s Film Labs Gathering and Commissioning Project, Robin will help us expand some of our offerings to the film community. We’re excited about the new role and look forward to her continued contributions to the organization.
As of September 27, Robin can be reached at specialprojects@lift.ca
“Working in the Technical Department has been a dream. However, it’s time for change! I am looking forward to continuing working in a new capacity at LIFT. There are some very exciting projects coming up, and it’s an honour to work on them and share them with everyone when the time comes. I will miss chatting with everyone about everything tech and helping everyone with their fun projects along with Noah and Karl. I’m excited for KJ’s new role, and am so happy everyone gets to meet someone as wonderful as she is! While most of my work will be remote, I am only an email away for anyone wanting to nerd out over analogue film.”
