GUEST MODERATOR – TRICIA FISH
TRICIA FISH studied art and film at the Ontario College of Art, where she won a Film Faculty Prize for her experimental films. She returned home to study at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design before beginning her screenwriting career by working as a writer’s assistant for the feature screenplay Kids in the Hall: Brain Candy. Tricia attended the Canadian Film Centre’s writers lab and was named one of Variety’s Top Ten Writers to Watch in 2000. She has story edited, written for TV, written and directed a low-budget feature, and now has a feature comedy in development called Fifth Grade Hearts, but is best known for writing the wonderful and internationally award winning Canadian feature New Waterford Girl.

SPECIAL STATUS by Carolyn Bennett
A close-knit group of English and French punks clash during the 1980 Quebec referendum. Nothing that spray paint and hash can’t fix.

Writer CAROLYN BENNETT has written for a variety of Canadian Newspapers, and for television shows like Odd Job Jack and This Hour Has 22 minutes. SPECIAL STATUS is her first feature script.

LIFT OUT LOUD is our bi-monthly script reading series where members workshop their scripts to by professional actors and then get feedback from the acclaimed guest moderator and an audience of their peers. LIFT OUT LOUD meets bi-monthly on the first Wednesday of every other month.
