LIFT announces Round-Up 2023 Screening,
presented by MUBI

November 23, 2023—The Liaison of Independent Filmmakers of Toronto (LIFT) announces the return of the LIFT Round-Up on December 11, 2023 at the Paradise Theatre, 1006c Bloor Street West. For the first time since 2018, we will be hosting an evening of recent works by LIFT’s talented community of local and international artists from 2019-2023. Come celebrate the eclectic possibilities of the moving image with us. With a collection of documentary, narrative and hand-made experimental films, this night holds something for everyone.

“It’s Not Brakhage (Prelude)” Directed by Miles Rufelds
“Inner Artist” Directed by Sarah Brebner
“Always Here” Cinematography by Allen Thomas
  (Directed by Mridul Haridas)
“Sounds of Images (EL SONIDO DE LAS IMÁGENES)” Directed by Laura Moreno Bueno
  (Created as part of our
BAICC Residencias Artísticas Internacionales de Creacion Cinematográfica, a collaboration between the (S8) Mostra Internacional de Cinema Periférico, Acción Cultural Española)

Following the screening there will be a  small reception in the lobby bar of the Paradise Theatre.

– Although the Paradise Theatre does not have an active masking policy, LIFT strongly encourages those attending the screening to wear a mask.
