June 27, 2022

Welcome to Special Projects Coordinator Helen Lee and Commissioning and Mentorship Coordinator Robert Lee

Thanks to the Digital Now initiative of the Canada Council for the Arts and additional project funding, we are happy to announce two new staff coming out of our call for a Special Projects Coordinator: Helen Lee and Robert Lee (no relation). Helen joins us as our Special Projects Coordinator, working on developing a meeting to discuss analogue filmmaking and collaboration in the aftermath of the pandemic. Robert joins as our Commissioning and Mentorship Coordinator, shepherding our Transformations Cross Generational Commission Project through to its fruition. Further announcements about these projects to come next month.

“It is a sincere honour to be joining LIFT, an organization so integral to the history of independent filmmaking in Toronto and in Canada more generally. In my role as Special Projects Coordinator I am thrilled to be able to contribute to meaningful projects that will promote the art of film to audiences and filmmakers in our local and international community.”
