Participants will gain the basic technical skills needed to create simple motion graphics, animations, and special effects for video. In-studio lab time will be allotted so that each participant can create a very short motion graphics clip. Vector files will be provided for participants to work with.
Leslie Supnet is an artist whose moving image work aims to represent sincerity, lived experience, and the multiplicity of human emotion. Her shorts have screened at various festivals, such as TIFF, Melbourne International Animation Festival, International Short Film Festival Oberhausen, International Film Festival Rotterdam, and Antimatter. She received her MFA from York University, and continues to teach at various institutions.
This workshop is part of LIFT’s Touring Filmmaking Workshops with media arts centers throughout Ontario. The touring program is generously supported by the Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF).
