LIFT at Kensington Market’s Pedestrian Sundays – July 2024

July 26, 2024—Looking for something creative to do this weekend? Why not come on down to Kensington Market in downtown Toronto and visit our booth outside Good Egg (156 Augusta Avenue) for the July edition of Pedestrian Sundays.

Pedestrian Sundays is an opportunity for the community to come together and celebrate the summer season by eating good food, exploring the vibrant Kensington Market and having fun in the sun. Come explore the world of direct animation at the LIFT booth!

Direct animation is an animated filmmaking technique in which participants draw on or scratch clear film leader to create images and sounds.

LIFT’s Technical Administrator Robin Riad and Summer Conference and Meeting Planner Poppi Fella Pellegrino will show participants how to make short direct animation pieces using 16mm film and a 16mm film viewer.
