Best Wishes to Rolla Tahir and Welcome to Interim Education Administrator Fraser Wrighte – Maternity Coverage

The staff and board at LIFT would like to announce that Rolla Tahir will be taking maternity leave at the beginning of July. Rolla has been an important part of our organization administrating our Education and Outreach projects, including the two Newcomer mentorship projects she initiated during the last two years. We wish her all the best as she welcomes her new child into the world and look forward to her return next year.

“While I am looking forward to what the coming year will bring, I am also sad to be taking a leave during a very exciting time in our growth as an organization. I am sure that I will return in a year to more developments and a bigger community of filmmakers as a result. In the meantime, I am very confident in leaving the position in the capable hands of Fraser Wright who will undoubtedly bring a lot to the team.”
—Rolla Tahir

LIFT would also like to welcome our interim Education Administrator Fraser Wrighte, who will be covering for Rolla’s leave for the next year. He will be working with Education Coordinator Shenaz Baksh in support of our increasingly popular workshops. We look forward to Fraser bringing his wide-ranging skill set to this position.

Fraser Wrighte is an interdisciplinary visual artist and filmmaker with a collaborative practice, working across animation, drawing, and video. He has an interest in experimental and animated film and from 2015-18, his animated short film “Storage Space” screened at local and international festivals and events. Currently, Fraser works as a graphic designer, picture editor, and illustrator for independent artists and new businesses, and is always aiming to broaden his skill set.

“I am honored to play a part in delivering LIFT’s unique programming over this next year, and to be surrounded by a community of media artists and filmmakers committed to making work and sharing their knowledge.”
