Centre for Addiction and Mental Health: Rendez-Vous with Madness
LIFT supported an
all-inclusive Super 8 filmmaking workshop for the Centre for Addiction &
Mental Health. Six participants each created a film project from start to finish.
Participants learned basic camera theory, shot with Super 8mm cameras and edited the films digitally. Finished films screened at
the Rendez-Vous with Madness Film Festival.

Centre for Addiction and
Mental Health (CAMH)
CAMH is Canada’s largest
mental health and addiction teaching hospital. CAMH combines clinical care,
research, education, policy development and health promotion to help transform
the lives of people affected by mental health and addiction issues.
Rendezvous with Madness
(RWM) is the world’s first and longest running film festival showcasing films
that address issues of mental health and/or addiction. The festival provides a
distinct venue for filmmakers to screen their work and has grown into a
filmmaker favourite over the past eighteen years.
