Call for Submissions: LIFT Seasonal Screening Series – Narrative
CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS:
SEASONAL SCREENING SERIES – NARRATIVE
Toronto, August 15, 2019—The Liaison of Independent Filmmakers of Toronto (LIFT) is pleased to announce submissions are now open for the third screening of current members’ work. For this upcoming autumn event, we will be shining a light on narrative works. Current members are encouraged to submit work if their work explores narrative storytelling in new and innovative ways. Whether you are working in drama, comedy or hybrid we’re curious to see what our members are creating.
If you have a film, work-in-progress or an excerpt that you want to share in a relaxed setting outside of the festival circuit this is the members’ event for you.
Our next screening is set to take place on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at Niagara Custom Lab, 182A St. Helens Avenue. Stay tuned on social media to learn more!
On the night of we’ll be equipped to screen Super 8mm and 16mm as well as digital files. To be considered please submit a preview link for us to view. If the work has not been digitized, you may submit a reel or sample of your work that demonstrates your style (maximum 15 minutes).
Requirements:
– Must be a current LIFT member in good standing without any outstanding invoices
– Commercials and PSAs cannot be submitted
– Work must have been completed as of 2014 or later
– Works-in-progress and excerpts are also accepted
– Maximum running time is 15 minutes (including credits)
– Work may be shot in either film or video/digital
As screening time is limited not every film submitted will be selected. Unselected films will remain in consideration for future events.
