Canada is home to an abundance of extraordinarily talented Korean-Canadian filmmakers. Whether they are first generation immigrants, or born-and- raised in Canada, these filmmakers have unique perspectives that cross cultural and geographic borders. Eleven outstanding recent short films from nine of these filmmakers will be on display in this year’s showcase. This diverse program includes delightful animated shorts, fascinating documentaries, and touching dramas. Local filmmakers will be in attendance for a post-screening Q&A session. —Carter Bruce
