Coming near the end of his month-long production residency at the Liaison of Independent Filmmakers of Toronto (LIFT) Seoul-based filmmaker HANGJUN LEE presents recent films and works in progress. Taking the exploration of the film form and its material as the basis for his work Hangjun illuminates the surface of the image, filling it with sound and abstract visions.

Hangjun Lee is a filmmaker, programmer for EXiS festival in Seoul, editor of N’Avant and independent curator. In 2006, he created and continues to edit an artist film and video magazine called N’Avant. In addition, Lee programmed a monthly experimental film & video screening in Seoul from 2007 to 2009 and curated special screening programmes for several gallery spaces around the world. Lee has edited the books Carl Brown (2008) and an anthology on issues in Asian experimental media (2009). His recent works are distributed by Lightcone.
