GUEST MODERATOR – DAVID WEAVER:
Known for his biting wit and bizarre sense of humor, David Weaver graduated from the Canadian Film Centre’s directing program with the award winning short film MOON PALACE. His debut feature CENTURY HOTEL starring Colm Feore, Mia Kirshner and Tom McCamus premiered at the Toronto international Film Festival in 2001 and received two Genie nominations. Most recently, Weaver directed the critically acclaimed twisted black comedy SIBLINGS, which premiered at TIFF in 2004.

DEPRAVED NEW WORLD written by Yakov Levi
In the not-too-distant future another sexual revolution takes place, this time by men who establish a society governed by pornography and adolescent male fantasy. Any self-respecting women must take up arms to overthrow the evil Cumunist Government.

TEN written by Krzysztof Pietroszek
A story about the relationship between Father and Son, and the Ten Commandments.

LIFT OUT LOUD is our bi-monthly script reading series where members workshop their scripts to by professional actors and then get feedback from the acclaimed guest modearator and an audience of their peers. LIFT OUT LOUD meets bi-monthly on the first Wednesday of the month.

We are always looking for scripts (shorts and features) for upcoming readings. If interested in submitting your script, or have any inquiries please e-mail liftoutloud@lift.on.ca You must be a LIFT member to have a script showcased.
