Notice about Canada and U.S. Tariffs – April 2

Dear Members and Community,
As you’re aware, on Tuesday March 4, 2025, the U.S. imposed tariffs of 25% on Canadian exports, and 10% on energy product exports from Canada. Canada has responded to the U.S. imposition of tariffs on Canadian goods by introducing a first set of countermeasures. The second set of tariffs come into effect on Wednesday April 2, 2025.
LIFT is currently doing some advocacy work to try and stop this, but it looks like Eastman Kodak motion picture film stock will be subject to 25% tariffs starting Wednesday April 2.
All Eastman Kodak film that we have in-stock before the tariffs come into effect will be sold at the regular price listed on our website.
Any film stocks that we re-order after April 2 will see the price increase—if we’re charged with tariffs during the import.

We managed to stock up on more film before Canada and U.S. Tariffs potentially come into effect on April 2. All film currently on the site (as of March 31) is available at the current pre-tariff price while supplies last!
100 foot rolls of Kodak VISION3 7203 16mm Colour Negative Film (50D) and Kodak Ektachrome 7294 16mm Colour Reversal Film (100D) are now back in stock.
Kodak 3378 16mm Black and White High-Contrast Film (12T) and Kodak 3383 16mm Colour Release Print Film (1.5 to 3) will also be on line shortly!
