OPEN STUDIO SESSION:
DIGITAL POST PRODUCTION
August 2, 2024—The Liaison of Independent Filmmakers of Toronto (LIFT) is pleased to announce that we will be welcoming artists to our space for another Open Studio Session this summer. The Open Studio Session will serve as a space for exploration for artists and creatives interested in various aspects of filmmaking. This is an opportunity for members and non-members alike to create together in LIFT’s spaces.
The theme for this session is Digital Post-Production. For the duration of the session, LIFT’s Digital Editing Suite will be open to participants and equipped with the Adobe Suite, DaVinci Resolve, iMovie, GarageBand, and Final Cut Pro. Participants are free to use their time in the studio however they please. We ask that each participant be mindful of others and share the space throughout the session.
The session will be facilitated by LIFT’s Summer Conference and Meeting Planner Poppi Fella Pellegrino on Friday, August 23, 2024 from 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm.
Note: This is not a workshop therefore, there will be no formal instruction. The facilitator will be available to answer questions and guide participants as needed, however they will not be teaching a curriculum.
Facilitator:
Poppi Fella Pellegrino is a Toronto-based filmmaker interested in telling personal stories about connection and identity. Poppi works as a director, sound designer and editor for podcasts, youtube videos, and films. Outside of filmmaking, Poppi plays music with her sister as Kings in the Back Row and works as the Summer Conference and Meeting Planner for the Liaison of Independent Filmmakers of Toronto (LIFT). Participants are required to bring the following items:
– Headphones
– Storage Device (Mac-formatted hard drive, USB, etc.)
The Adobe Suite, DaVinci Resolve, iMmovie, GarageBand, and Final Cut Pro will be provided by LIFT as well as computers to edit on. If a participant chooses to bring their own device, we will not be able to provide these programs.
