LIFT Workshop Screening and Film Jam – June 2008
As LIFT’s
Spring-Summer workshop calendar gets underway, here’s your chance to see what
the Fall and Winter classes got up to.
As LIFT’s
Spring-Summer workshop calendar gets underway, here’s your chance to see what
the Fall and Winter classes got up to.
For the
first time ever, LIFT gathers all our recent completed workshop films for an
evening viewing party – shot on Super 8, 16mm and 35mm, and projected on both
film and video. Vote for your favourite film – and the winner will receive free
admission to the workshop of their choice!
Films will
include work by Elizabeth Jackson, Michelle Latimer, Laurel Macdonald, Chris
Ross, Ada Vaughan, Brian Yung and others.
In
addition, all audience members will be invited to take part in a free-wheeling
“film jam”! Your admission includes a foot of 16mm film, which you
can scribble, scratch and scuff to your heart’s content. Then we’ll splice
everyone’s scraps together to project at the end of the night.
Spring-Summer
workshop registration will also be available at the event (cash or cheque only).
Come see what’s possible when you make a film at LIFT!
