Eavesdropping on Souls: A Journey into Haitian Arts

Eavesdropping on Souls, written and produced by Jacqueline Jean Baptiste a Haitian educator living in Toronto, Canada is a brilliant and much needed documentary on Haitian art, painting, photography, woodworking, sculpture and Haitian culture.  She wisely presents an extraordinary display of this art and artists—some of whom are famous and well-known and others who are unknown street artists.  The presentation of these works is greatly enhanced by the music of the Creole Choir of Cuba whose repertoire is composed of 90% Haitian folk songs, a testament to Haiti’s broad reach in art and culture.
