Welcome to New Technical Coordinator Katerina Zoumboulakis

The staff of the Liaison of Independent Filmmakers of Toronto (LIFT) would like to welcome our new Technical Coordinator Katerina Zoumboulakis. Katerina joins Noah Henderson in the Technical Department, serving our members by providing production access through our rental facility and store. They bring their extensive knowledge of film sets and camera departments to our organization, helping us serve the independent community even more. We are excited about how they complement the department and look forward to their contributions to the organization in our work with our members and the community at large.

“I am so excited and honoured to be working at LIFT amongst the friendly and knowledgeable staff. I have been a LIFT member for what feels like many years, and have always had a lovely time renting gear and using the post-production facilities. LIFT truly makes filmmaking in Tkaronto so accessible, and I am so thrilled to be able to join the team in supporting all of the amazing artists and members, from those who are just starting their film journey or who are experts in their craft. Come rent some gear, use the facilities or take a workshop and come say hi!”

Katerina Zoumboulakis (they/them) is a director, cinematographer and photographer with their home base in Toronto. Kat was raised in Markham and then graduated from York University’s BFA Film Production program. Their love of filmmaking and photography started when they were gifted a camera from their aunt at a young age, and they have gladly not been able to remember a day since where one hasn’t been in their hands. Kat feels lucky every day to look through the viewfinder or monitor and see art that friends and crewmates have worked so hard to create together, and most importantly, their loved ones. https://www.katerinazoum.com
