Great Canadian Giving Challenge launches June 1, 2019
Summer Greetings from LIFT,
2019 is the fifth outing of the GivingChallenge and it’s a simple and effective way to stay involved with your favourite organizations. Every $1 donated to the Liaison of Independent Filmmakers of Toronto (LIFT) through CanadaHelps between June 1 and June 30, 2019 will automatically enter us to win $10,000, provided by The GIV3 Foundation!
And an extra $10,000 would be so nice.
So, what can LIFT do with $10,000?
– $10,000 can cover the expenses for a dozen ASL interpreters for deaf and hard of hearing artists who wish to access LIFT’s filmmaking workshops
– $10,000 can fund five community film project’s production equipment and post-production facility rentals
– $10,000 is an investment into acquiring and upgrading equipment including our in-demand Super 8mm, 16mm, and 35mm camera packages
– $10,000 covers the costs of two mentees and mentors a year
