Experimental filmmaker CHRISTINA BATTLE presents in the same evening “Memories of Moments From Here and There” — a series of recent works plus three new works projected in 16mm and 35mm film.

NOTE: Due to unforeseen circumstances, BIRD ON A WIRE — projections by ELLE FLANDERS and music by Marilyn Lerner is postponed indefinitely.

New Directions in Cinema is a screening series presented by LIFT showcasing long time members and their innovative film works — filmmakers whose work bypasses traditional structures and techniques. LIFT (The Liaison of Independent Filmmakers of Toronto) is extremely pleased to present these artists and their outstanding work. 2006 marks the 25th Anniversary of LIFT and this installment of New Directions in Cinema is the beginning of a year long celebration of LIFT and its member’s amazing contribution to the cinematic tradition.
