Introduction to Sound Editing with Audition
Adobe Audition is an application designed for editing and mixing audio for film and media based projects. Using the trial version of the software, this introductory workshop provides practical insight into the different techniques that can be used creatively to explore and edit sound. Learn about technical setup and media organization, get experience with track layout, importing audio from a variety of sources, editing, pre-mixing multiple tracks as well as the technical terms, concepts and tools of digital sound editing.
The course will touch on recording but will focus mainly on editing audio. If you have any audio recordings readily available to edit please bring them, otherwise sound bites will be available for you to use. This workshop is recommended as a companion to Introduction to Post-Production Sound for Filmmakers and Producers and Sound Design workshops.

Instructor: David Angell
David Angell is a Toronto based audio producer and audio post mixer with over 16 years of experience ranging from feature length films to television series and many other corporate and music projects in between. David has designed and constructed three different studios in his career, all of which are still operating to this day. David is always trying to keep up to date with what’s new in audio and is excited to continue his teaching experience and sharing his passion for sound.
