Introduction to Premiere ProParticipants without access to an Adobe Premiere Pro licence can download and install Adobe's free 30 day trial version for this workshop. Project files will be sent prior to the start of the workshop. Please download these files and have them ready for your workshop.
Ideal for anyone looking to start learning non-linear editing and running Adobe Premiere Pro on their home computer. In this hands-on workshop participants will learn step-by-step video editing from import to export. Gain the basic knowledge on how to create a project for HD or SD, capture footage, organize assets, apply basic editing techniques, add audio and video transition effects, create titles, colour correct and audio mix. This workshop also discusses techniques for exporting your finished edit to disc, tape, and a variety of digital formats.
Please Note: This workshop is recommended as a companion to the Editing Aesthetics, Dramatic Film Editing and Intermediate Premiere Pro workshops.
READ BEFORE REGISTERING
Prior to the class, please create a profile on Zoom and download the free version of the application. You will receive an email from LIFT with an invitation link to join the workshop one hour before the class begins which will prompt you to open the application or web browser. Please ensure that you log in using a Zoom account with a profile name that appears as the same name registered for the class. If not, for security reasons, you may not be permitted to join. During the workshop, we advise that you keep your microphone on mute to minimize external noise and that you unmute when participating in class discussions. Please also arrive to the session on time for attendance and class participation. ONLINE workshops may be recorded for staff and facilitator assessment. Recorded material will not be made available to participants. Review all workshop policies before registering.
