Learn to use LIFT’s Oxberry 16mm/35mm Suite to transfer video to film in this 8-hour workshop. Whether you are seeking to finish a feature or short film, restore an old film from a digital master, or simply explore and experiment on the film canvas, the ever accelerating image quality and low cost of digital technologies allows us to delve deeper than ever into the world of analogue film. This workshop will introduce students to the Oxberry animation stand, its basic functionality, computer controllers, and software needed to create frame accurate 16mm or 35mm internegatives from digital masters.

This workshop also includes 4 hours work time.

The Camera Theory is strongly recommended as a prerequisites. Work time credit must be used before Friday September 1, 2017. Facilities time must be used during LIFT office hours (Monday-Friday,  10am-6pm).
