This intensive workshop takes you through the professional tape-less workflow of LIFT’s Sony EX1 HD cameras. These cameras produce images in slow and fast motion with a 1080p, 720p or 1080i HD pixel count. Topics include understanding video codecs, data management and operation specific to this camera platform. Participants explore the features and functions of this digital video camera and shoot a scene in this hands on workshop.

The Camera Theory Workshop is strongly recommended as a prerequisite.

Instructor:

Jason Ebanks has a keen eye for translating stylistic movement through short film and videos. With a provocative skill of interpretation and a uniquely stimulating approach for the concept-to-visual process, the Jamaican-Canadian director has quickly become a hot commodity in both Toronto’s fashion and music circles. He founded KHO Films, where he has directorial credits for Carlos Morgan, Universal Soul, Fito Blanko and EMI Recording artist Shawn Hewitt. Along with participating in numerous Toronto film festivals, Ebanks has also channeled his creative vision towards fashion launches for clients such as adidas, Fashion Television, fashcam, The Artist Group and Wolves clothing.
