Producing a powerful movie that works is a pragmatic art. It requires a shrewd working knowledge of the mechanics and logistic of the ‘system’. This intensive Producers' Master class with Ken Nakamura, over a four week period, will cover lectures, workshops and assignments. Successful producing is dependent on knowing the key elements—metaphysics of the process. Ken Nakamura is the President & CEO of The Nakamura Group Advantage Inc. He entered the industry as an acquisition and sales executive. Over his career, he paid special attention to the needs of Asia and as a result developed expertise for the region and an intimate network of broadcasters, distributors, financiers, producers and other contacts. Ken is currently in preproduction on Fangs of War, which takes the literary iconic character of Jonathan Harker and tilts the Bram Stoker universe on its head by positioning him to take on two of the biggest and baddest evils of the last two centuries – The Nazis & Dracula. A recipient of the Bernice Adams Memorial Award for Performing Arts 2009, He is also the founder and past board member of the Grand River Film Festival.
