By far the biggest technical shortcoming of many videos and independent films is the sound. Give your project a boost with this workshop covering one of the most important jobs on set.
Simone Rapisarda Casanova is an Italian born award winning filmmaker whose narrative and experimental short films have been screened in festivals around the world. He has recently completed his first feature film, which has just started the festival circuit by premiering at the prestigious Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland and screening at the renowned IDFA—the International Documentary Film Festival in Amsterdam—among others. He holds a BFA with distinction in Film Production from Concordia University in Montreal and a MFA in Film Production from York University in Toronto. During the past decade, aside being in charge of the sound department on his own films, he has worked as field sound recordist on several award winning documentaries and independent films.
