Anita K. Sharma was born in the tiny northern Ontario town of Smooth Rock Falls, where ambition and a passion for the movies eventually led her to New York City, where she practiced entertainment law for eight years. For the past four years she has run her own entertainment law firm in Toronto and New York. In 2009, Anita graduated from the Canadian Film Centre Producers’ Lab. Anita is focused on producing properties across all platforms, and is also dedicated to building audiences online. With the support of Telefilm Canada and the Harold Greenberg Fund Anita is currently developing a feature film called 90 Days, a drama based on her family’s exile from Uganda in 1972.
