Camera Theory provides a foundation for working with all types of cameras. Whether you are interested in shooting film, video or digital cinema, learn the basics of camera operation that will allow you to approach any camera with confidence. Topics include: camera components, lenses, exposure, f stops, aperture, light metering, depth of field, aspect ratio and more.
Camera Theory is a foundational course and is necessary as a prerequisite for many of our camera-based and cinematography-focused workshops.
Sarah Moffat has over fifteen years of professional experience. Sarah’s knowledge has spanned across the camera world to include motion picture film, and video, still photography film and digital, and underwater. She has worked in a vast number of situations from large movie sets, to personal documentary interviews, to covering live broadcast events, to photographing everyday life, landscapes and print.
